This is a new route in Umngeni Valley on the Grasslands Trail. This includes a 3km descent to the Umngeni River, a 3km soulful journey along the Umngeni River & a 3 km ascent back to the start. We will cross Mhlangweni & Umdoni Streams twice and pass Indulo and Cycad Campsites. Cost is R40 Wessa entrance fee and we will meet at the offices then travel together in the high rise vehicles to our start point. The climb out is quite steep and there are some areas without shade so please bring suncream, sunhats and lots of water. This hike is part 2 of the Wessa Valley hike and together with the 22nd november hike will enable you to walk the entire length of Umngeni Valley.
