Please note the above Drakensberg Gardens Cottage weekend has had to be postponed (the cottage has been leased to a film company for the whole of May).   
The next cottage long weekend will be from Friday 18 to Sunday 20 Aug 2006. Members who had already booked for May will be given first choice.    
We will look at arranging another venue for Sat & Sun 20 - 21 May & details will be available at the  9th May Social & in the May newsletter.

DRAKENSBERG 2006 GRAND TRAVERSE (21 April - 3 May) - RE-SUPPLY VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR SAT-SUN 29-30 APRIL 2006      
Mountain Backpackers are again undertaking South Africa's longest, most spectacular & most gruelling mountain trip. (230 km over 13 days).   
This year from Bushman's Nek to the Amphitheatre (the hard way). Backpacking fit & strong volunteers are needed to do the re-supply at Organ Pipes Pass 29 - 30 April 2006   
A couple of MHC members are again included in the Grand Traverse team & four keen MHC members have already volunteered for the re-supply, but more are needed.
